There is a telephone scam reported to us by multiple clients in which the caller claims to be from Google and demands an immediate payment of $300 to prevent the removal of the business from Google.
This is a scam.
Google does not shake down businesses over the phone. You have every right to be concerned about your website and business listing in Google. If you receive a phone call like this and you are unsure of its legitimacy, feel free to refer the call to our office at 1-866-758-0123 and we will screen the call for you.
If you are a victim of this scam, please contact your credit card company immediately and cancel or dispute the transaction.
